Located on the campus of UW-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, NWMOC provides at-your-location services by seasoned practitioners with expertise in manufacturing management. The experts at NWMOC deliver integrated services to manufacturers in 33 northern and western Wisconsin counties. The NWMOC is part of UW-Stout's Discovery Center, which provides applied research to foster discovery and innovation-based solutions.

Part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST/MEP), NWMOC ranks high in customer satisfaction. Last fiscal year, NWMOC provided technical assistance to 122 firms. In FY 2009-10, client-reported impacts exceeded $26 million with a customer satisfaction rating of 8.94 on a 10.0-point scale.
